Please note: the hotels below are a selection of our commonly used hotels. On a few occasions we may have to use other substitute hotels of the same standard. We will confirm the hotel selection in the final holiday pack which will be sent to you 3 weeks before your departure.

Krimml, Hotel Krimmlerfaelle

This 4 star hotel has been run by the Schöppl family for several generations. It has a large restaurant, an indoor/outdoor swimming pool and large comfortable rooms. There is a sauna, solarium and steam room, and outside a pleasant garden area with extensive lawns.
 

Mittersill, Gasthof Heitzmann

This 300 year old hotel offers you tradition with contemporary comforts. You will be tempted to spend time relaxing in the “Zirbenstube”, decorated in Swiss style, or in one of the two small lounges, the beer garden or patio. Other facilities include an infra red sauna, Finnish sauna, and salt steam bath. Rooms at the Heitzmann are generously proportioned and decorated in a country house style. All have shower/wc, telephone and cable tv. The restaurant is a member of the Hohe Tauem National Park Association.

 

Kaprun, Hotel Steigenberger

This is a superb hotel which is regularly praised by Freewheel clients.The 4 star Hotel Steigenberger is the perfect choice for relaxation, set in the heart of Kaprun. All 125 rooms have private facilities, bath or shower/wc, hairdryer, cable tv, radio and mini bar. The hotel offers a cosy cafe/bar, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, steam room, sauna, solarium, relaxation and beauty rooms. Breakfast is hot and cold buffet.



 

Maria Alm, Hotel Almerwirt 

Dating from 1553, the Almerwirt was originally a stopping place for pilgrims visiting Maria Alm. Today’s family-run 3 star hotel is in a quiet location in the centre of Maria Alm and offers all the modern comforts : rooms have bath/shower/wc, telephone, cable tv, modem point for broadband, and there is an indoor swimming pool with solarium and sauna.


Maria Alm, Gasthof Sonnenlicht

A guest house with apartment accommodation suitable for larger groups or for families with children. Double rooms are also available. There is an attractive terrace next to a stream and a glass-roofed conservatory where you can relax. A friendly welcome from the Dutch owner, Ronald Kramer is guaranteed.


 

Lofer, Gasthof Bad Hochmoos

The 4 star Gasthof Bad Hochmoos is situated near Lofer in one of the most beautiful parts of the Salzburgerland, and has been owned by the Schlecter family for over 125 years. All rooms have a shower or bath, wc, telephone, cable TV, room safe and hairdryer. There is an indoor swimming pool, open daily from 7am - 8pm. Sun loungers and towels are provided. Other facilities include a sauna and infrared cabin, solarium, reading room, skittle alley, gardens, and two tennis courts.

 

Salzburg, Hotel Hohenstauffen

Since 1902 the 3 star Hotel Hohenstauffen has been owned by the Reichl Family. Situated close to the railway station but in a quiet side street, the hotel offers traditional Austrian hospitality. All 27 rooms are individual but have a fully fitted bathroom with bath or shower/wc, hairdryer, telephone, radio, and TV. The Congress Hall, Mirabell Gardens and the famous sights of the old part of the city are within a 15 minute walk.
 

Salzburg, Hotel Mozart

This 4 star hotel is conveniently located near to the pedestrianised streets which take you into the heart of Salzburg. Most of the city’s main attractions are within walking distance. The hotel offers 70 rooms pleasantly decorated and with all the facilities you’d expect at this level.
