Catalonia stands apart from the rest of Spain with its independence of spirit and culture. The regions boasts some marvellous attributes. From the imposing Pyrenees, down through beautiful forests and farmland to the startling beauty of the Costa Brava you have the framework for a rewarding holiday.  Two of the rides make extensive use of the excellent  Vias Verdes network of disused railway lines converted into cycle trails.

The itinerary explores the coastline, visiting charming Cadaques, Sant Feliu de Guixols, and the intriguing Greek/Roman settlement at Empuries. Inland you will see the beautiful medieval villages of Pals and Peratallada, and have the opportunity to visit the attractive town of Girona and Dali’s birthplace, Figueres.

Fairly easy but with some hills on Days 4 & 5. Support vehicle is available and alternative shorter rides available on some days.
