During the Covid-19 pandemic, Freewheel Holidays have been keeping customers engaged and entertained by hosting weekly zoom conferences, informing them of all the amazing cycling trips and European destinations the company has to offer.
The weekly series have been hosted by Product Manager Steven Rittey, who over the last three months, has been discussing his own cycling experiences and places to visit with Freewheel Holidays, such as Germany, Tuscany, Oslo, Austria and Copenhagen. Steven also covered locations closer to home including Ireland, shone a light on Britain’s best canal cycle routes and talked about cycling on some of Britain’s islands such as Shetland and the Isles of Scilly.
The series was broadcasted live across Zoom reaching over 500 potential customers and later shared across the Freewheel Holiday’s Facebook page.
Steven commented, "Hosting weekly webinars on Zoom with cycling and travel enthusiasts has been a great way to keep in touch with people during lockdown. I have really enjoyed providing cycling inspiration based on my own travel experiences and telling cycling-related stories from my garden shed that has temporarily doubled up as make-shift studio!’’
Customers have been thrilled at the opportunity to ask questions about the holidays, enabling them to start planning their next or first ever cycling trip.
"I joined the talk on cycling the Normandy Beaches as I have considered such a trip. I enjoyed it so much that soon joined many of the rest. Good fun and informative’’ Graham Phillips.
With travel bans now starting to be lifted, Freewheel Holidays have resumed bookings for some of its European destinations from September onwards.
