Together with your tour guide, you will explore the winding paths along the South Dalmatian by bike. You can expect tasty, regional dishes and will spend your evenings in the great outdoors, marvelling at the star-filled skies. Day 1: Individual arrival in Trogir, Trogir – Brač island (by boat), round trip Brač island, approx. 25 km / 640 m altitude difference
The tour begins in Trogir, where embarkation will take place between 12.00 and 14.00. Today, you can get to know your travel guide over a drink.When everyone is on board, it is time to raise the anchor and set sail to Supetar on Brač island. This is where you will start your first ride, cycling to Pucisca where the boat will meet you.
Day 2: Brač island – Korčula island (by boat), bike tour on Korčula island, approx. 35 km / 680 m altitude difference
After breakfast, the boat will head off towards the island of Korčula. Known as the black island, because of the dense pinewoods here; from the harbour in Račišće you will cycle through Kneža and Žrnovska Banja to Korčula. Then, via Pupnat and Kneža, you head back to the boat and set off back to Korčula where you will spend tonight.
Day 3: Korčula island – Mljet island (by boat), round tour from Sobra, approx. 30 km / 910 m altitude difference, Mljet island – Elafiti island of Šipan (by boat)
The boat will first cruise to Mljet island this morning. Almost completely covered in forest, this island is home to a large national park with free-roaming mongoose. You will cycle along a heavily forrested route, via Prožura to Saplunara. After stopping for a bite of lunch and a swim, you head back to the boat. Once you are back on board, you set sail for the Elafiti archipelago.
Day 4: Round tour from Šipanska Luka, approx. 10 km / 200 m altitude difference, Šipan island – Dubrovnik (by boat)
Consisting of 13 islands, the Elafiti archipelago is largely uninhabited. In times gone by, this was a popular summer residence for the aristocracy. Now, there are still many elegant villas to be seen here, some of which you will pass on a short tour of Šipan island by bike. You continue by boat to Dubrovnik. You will arrive around lunchtime and will have plenty of time to explore this populaar city and famous UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day 5: Dubrovnik – Pelješac peninsula (by boat), Prapratno – Trstenik, approx. 35 km / 700 m altitude difference
You will sail from Dubrovnik to Prapratno, on Pelješac peninsula. When you arrive, jump on the bike and cycle to Ston and Mali Ston, two places connected by a wall which is 5.5 km long. The wall dates back to the 14th century. In Ston you can almost smell the salt from the oldest and biggest salt works on the Mediterranean. The bike tour will then lead you, via Dubrava and Žuljana, to Trstenik. After lunch on board, and a leisurely afternoon, the boat takes you to the village of Kućište.
Day 6: Pelješac peninsula – Hvar island (by boat), bike tour on Hvar island, approx. 40 km / 860 m altitude difference
In the morning, you will arrive at Hvar island. In the town of Hvar you get back on the bikes and enjoy a tour through fields of lavender and vineyards to Stari Grad. The boat will meet you here with a delicious lunch on board. Refreshed after lunch, you can set off on the second part of today's bike tour. You cycle via Vrboska to Jelsa and back to Stari Grad. Here, at the oldest settlement on the island you can soak up the romantic atmosphere, and beautiful colours, as the sun sets into the sea.
Day 7: Hvar island – Šolta island (by boat), Stomorska – Maslinica, approx. 20 km / 300 hm, Maslinica – Trogir (by boat)
You go by boat from Stari Grad to Stomorska on Šolta island, one of the smaller Dalmatian islands. It is known for its very good olive oil - which is a great souvenir to take back home. Your last cycle tour on this trip comes to an end in Maslinica. After lunch plus time to go swimming, you return to Trogir.
Day 8: Individual departure
Your bike and barge holiday in Croatia ends after breakfast. Disembarkation is until 09.00 am.

Secured parking in Trogir, cost: 50 € per car and week, you need to reserve the parking with your booking, it is payable on site (in Croatian Kuna).
Arrival information – by Plane
We can arrange a transfer from Split airport to Trogir habour and back, on request and subject to availability. Please specify your flight number and arrival time.
There is a train station in Trogir, and regular trains are available between Split and Trogir.
We recommend using Skyscanner to find the best flight prices by date or Rail Europe for European rail travel.

About the Rental Bikes
This cycling holiday uses quality crossbar and unisex hybrid bikes based on KTM frame technology, Selle Royal saddles, Shimano components and puncture-proof tyres to ensure that you have an enjoyable cycle tour. The bikes feature modern V-brakes, aluminium frames with mudguards, comfortable saddles and a rack for a supplied waterproof pannier.
You will also receive a handlebar bag and map holder for easy navigation when riding your daily itinerary. Prices advertised on the website include standard bike hire (unless stated). Colour and specification may vary from the image shown.

Accessories
If you would like GPX files for a suitable device, please request them at the time of booking. Devices are not provided and please make sure that you bring along with you any fittings required to attach the Garmin (or similar) to the handlebars. You might want to download maps onto your phone to avoid data charges when roaming.
All bikes are provided with standard flat pedals. You can bring your own cycling pedals, but ensure that you have the correct tools to remove the pedals if the tour does not have a welcome meeting. You may also not be able to travel through airports with the tools if you are carrying hand luggage only.
You can rent a men's bike with a crossbar, unisex/female bike with a sloping tube or an electric bike for a supplement.
Gears
7 speed bikes are equipped with a Shimano Nexus gear hub and 21 speed bikes have a Shimano Alivio derailleur. We request 21 speed bikes for all cycling holidays (when available).
Frame Sizing
When you make a booking with us, we take your height(s) and the appropriate bike size is matched up accordingly. Unisex frame 21-gears with freewheel. Sizes: 56 / 51 / 46 / 43 cm. Unisex 7-gears-bikes with back pedalling brake. Sizes: 56 / 51 / 46 cm. Men’s speed bikes 21-gears with free wheel and crossbar. Sizes: 64 / 60 / 56 "sloping" cm. Helmets are not provided and you will need to bring your own to use.
We always recommend wearing a helmet when on your cycling holiday!
Bike Hire Insurance
This cycle tour benefits from bike insurance against rental bike theft and damage in the holiday price. Please make sure you lock up the bike, leave it where told by the hotel and treat your hire bicycle as if the bike was your own. Any negligent treatment of the bike will exempt you from cover. We advise you to ensure that you have adequate travel insurance for your cycling holiday prior to arrival.
Electric Bike Hire
Why not upgrade your cycling experience to an E-Bike (Electric Bike)? Using a power assisted bike is a great way to go on a cycling holiday and will help you smooth out inclines or longer days in the saddle. Each E-Bike features an LCD display, removable batteries for easy charging and assistance up to 25 km/h with a range of around 120 km for each full charge depending on usage.
