The North Sea and good beer go hand in hand. The famous brewery, Jever, can be found in this wonderful region. But there are also many other excellent brands of beer to discover. Although most people do not associate the north with beer gardens and hops; there are several breweries with good beers. Sample some of the local beers, as you discover this beautiful region. Beside "Jever", we can recommend "Ostfriesen Bräu" and the "Tide Bier" among others. You will ride through a wonderful flat landscape which is easy, and suitable for any kind of rider. Enjoy the fresh air, the fresh air and of course the beer tasting. Have fun!
1st day Arrival Oldenburg
Make your own way to Oldenburg today. In the afternoon there will be a welcome meeting, and rental bikes (if booked) will be distributed. If you are not too tired from your journey, this evening, you can enjoy a pleasant walk through the city of Oldenburg. We will spend tonight in Oldenburg.
2nd day Oldenburg-Großefehn (approx. 60 km).
The day begins with a cycle to the Zwischenahner Sea, then through the pleasant countryside of Ammerland, before you reach East Frisia. Here, you will reach the first brewery on your tour, “Ostfriesen Bräu” in Bagband. You can take a guided tour, and discoveer more about the East Frisian beer culture, before you enjoy a nice evening Dinner and 1x beer incl. You will spend the night in Großefehn.
3rd day Großefehn - Carolinensiel/surrounding (approx. 60 km).
This morning's ride will head out of Großefehn towards the “old chief”, the town of Aurich. From there, the route will lead you all the way to Esens, on the North Coast. Your overnight stay is in Carolinensiel, which is known for its pretty canals and waterways, and interesting museums, or in the closer surroundings.
4th day Carolinensiel/surrounding - Jever (approx. 50 km).
Todays route leads you along the coast of the North Sea. You will first reach the popular resort towns of Harlesiel, then Hooksiel, and finally Horumersiel, before you reach Jever. The capital of the district of Friesland, the city of Jever is perhaps best know as the ghome of Jever Pilsener, which is produced there. However, close to the noth sea coast, the area is also a popular holiday resort, with many museums and sites of interest. You will spend one night in Jever.
5th Jever - Dangast/surrounding (approx. 40 km).
Today thers is just a short ride, and you should have plenty of time to enjoy a relaxing day, with plenty of sightseeing. You will cycle to Castle Gödens, parts of with date all the way back to the 14th century, and then further on to Dangast, a popular resort town, there is much to see here, such as the Kunst am Diech sculpture trail, which runs between Mariensiel and Dangast. You will eventually cycle to Varel, where you can make a visit to the “Vareler Brauhaus” and enjoy a niceevening with dinner and 1 x beer (incl.). You will spend the night in Dangast.
6th day Dangast/surrounding - Oldenburg (approx. 45 km).
Today your bike your will come to an end with your bike ride. You will head outaround the pleasant countryside of Jaderberg and Rastede, before heading back to Oldenburg. There are may points of interest to discover in this lovely city, such as Schloss Oldenburg and the Oldenburg State ThearteYou will spend your final night in Oldenburg.
7th day Departure or extra nights

Fly to Bremen. Take the train (Bahn) from Bremen airport to the main train station in Oldenburg. Good rail connection to Oldenburg, Duration approx. 0,5 h.

Public parking area near the starting hotel, free of charge. Hotel garage approx. € 5,- per day. No reservation possible, payable at the starting hotel.
